Experience

  1. Assistant Student | Software Development

    Centro de Prototipado

Led the full software development lifecycle for the Centro de Prototipado and institutional projects at the National University of Colombia, from system architecture and UI/UX design to production deployment. Developed web, IoT, and AI-powered solutions that transformed manual processes into automated, scalable, and traceable workflows, improving operational efficiency and decision-making across multiple university departments.

    • AI Payment Verification System (for Universidad Nacional de Colombia's finance department): Developed an AI-powered platform using OCR and Large Language Models (LLMs) to validate payment packages, automatically extract information, calculate contributions, complete official forms, and generate digital validation certificates, reducing processing time from hours to seconds while minimizing human error.
    • AI Document Management Platform (for Universidad Nacional de Colombia's Vice-Rectory): Designed and implemented a legal correspondence management system that received documents through Gmail webhooks, leveraged AI to summarize, classify, and detect inconsistencies, and automated the review and approval workflow between administrative staff and the Vice-Rector's Office.
    • Smart Inventory & IoT System: Architected and implemented a Progressive Web App (PWA) integrated with MQTT and ESP32-based smart cabinets to manage 22 physical cabinets and over 140 assets. The platform enabled equipment reservations, automatic cabinet unlocking, real-time inventory monitoring, maintenance management, and analytics dashboards with complete asset traceability.
    • Institutional Website & Headless CMS: Developed the institution's website using a Turborepo monorepo architecture and integrated a Notion-based headless CMS with automated content synchronization and an interactive 3D experience, enabling non-technical staff to publish content independently.
